A Great Place to Live, Work and Play
_ Ask anyone who lives, works, or owns a business
in Ravenna and they're likely to tell you about the friendliness of neighbors
and customers, the strong sense of community and joy of small-town living. In Ravenna
you'll find shops, restaurants, bars, and services while enjoying Nebraska's
natural beauty and room to roam throughout the community and nearby recreation
areas.
Approximately 1,300 people live within Ravenna's city limits. Another 45,000+ live in outlying areas within Buffalo County, well-known for its scenic beauty, fertile cropland, and progressive communities. Ravenna and Nebraska as a whole boast a high quality of life by national standards. Nebraska's unemployment rate is the second-lowest of any state and state debt per capita is the fourth lowest. Ravenna's cost of living is 18% lower than the U.S. average. Located within 35 miles of both Grand Island and Kearney, Ravenna gives access to the many advantages and conveniences of a larger city, but still preserves small town life — truly a "Hometown Hideaway." To arrive in Ravenna, visitors turn north off scenic Highway 2 and then cross our old fashioned overpass spanning the historic Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad tracks. On the north side of the overpass is Ravenna's Grand Avenue. So stop in and discover our wonderful community for yourself. You'll find more than just beautiful scenery, attractive amenities, and a friendly small-town atmosphere. You will quickly learn that what makes our community great is its people. Whether you're looking for a place to live, work, or play, you will find it here in Nebraska's Hometown Hideaway. Welcome to Ravenna! CLICK HERE FOR A MAP OF RAVENNA |
