When it comes to hunting and fishing, Nebraskans have it good.  The territory surrounding Ravenna is no exception.  Our community is surrounded by rolling hills, rivers, dry and irrigated land, all providing excellent habitat for deer, upland game, migratory and song birds, turkey and much more.

Ravenna Lake State Recreation Area is located one mile southeast of Ravenna. The lake is restricted to non-powered craft or craft with electric fishing motors. This wooded recreation area is especially well cared for, considered to be one of the nicest in the state for its size. The lake has approximately 30 surface acres of water. The Nebraska State Game and Parks Commission lists Ravenna Lake as containing Blue Gill, Channel Catfish, Crappie and Largemouth Bass.  Managed by Buffalo county, facilities at Ravenna Lake State Recreation Area include restrooms, picnic areas, primitive camping and a wheelchair-accessible deck.
