Linda and Ron Zinnell had a dream of opening an assisted living facility in Ravenna and in 1998 when the Ravenna Junior High School was being torn down they purchased the ground. Linda then talked to community leaders, investors and also visited other facilities and on September 10, 1999 a ground-breaking ceremony was held. Seneca Sunrise opened its doors for business on February 5, 2001. Over 180 residents have called Seneca home from a large area surrounding Ravenna. The facility features a formal living room, chapel activities room, library, dining room, beauty shop, outdoor balcony and patio and a variety of suites.
