True Value
Lloyd and Sherryl Wilke purchased the Coast to Coast store from Ed and Vicki Farritor in 1992. In 2000, Coast to Coast and True Value voted to merge and take the True Value name.
In 2002, the Wilkes began construction on a new building at their location, building the south half first, moving their store into that, then tearing down the old building creating the north half of their current facility and doubling the size of their store.
Lloyd, a Ravenna native, met Sherryl while both were attending UNK. They worked in retail for several years in Kearney before purchasing the Ravenna business. Their son Larry manages the Ravenna store. The Wilkes spend several days a week at their Kearney store also.
In 2008, the paint department was upgraded. The Wilkes are continually looking for new products to carry and attend two markets a year. They have several departments where customers can find anything from housewares to nuts and bolts, and a full line of appliances. They also have an outdoor area for bedding plants in the spring and even carry some lumber for those little odd jobs that sometimes come up.
