Opportunities to get out and experience Nebraska's beautiful four seasons are abundant for people of all ages in Ravenna. Whether relaxing on a blanket in the park, playing baseball, cooling off at the pool, or just needing to walk the family pet, find something for everyone under the wide-open skies of northern Buffalo County.
City Parks
Ravenna has three beautiful city parks with playground equipment. Facilities located at the parks include:
The Ravenna Golf Club is located on the north edge of town. It offers 9 holes of par 35 golfing on grass greens and watered fairways. The course features rolling hills with beautiful landscaping including a large variety of trees, shrubs, and flowers. The course is open to the public and also offers organized league play. Swimming Pool
Ravenna's swimming pool offers swimming for all ages with a wading pool for small children and a graduated depth with diving boards, slide, and lifeguards for more experienced swimmers. The pool is located on North Grand Avenue with playground equipment on the
grounds and a snack area and vending machines next to the bathhouse. Pool hours are 1-5pm daily and evenings from 6-9pm. The pool is closed when the temperature is below 70 degrees. For more information, call (308)452-3139.
Splash Pad
The splash pad is located in the VFW Park at 624 Buell Avenue.
City Auditorium
The Bohning Memorial Auditorium is an important gathering place for the community, with Chamber of Commerce, Lions Club, and other community events hosted regularly. Roller Skating, sponsored by the Ravenna Lions Club, is available starting in November and continuing through March from 7-9pm on Saturday evenings. Personal skates and rollerblades are allowed. Concessions are also available. For a small fee, the Lions Club will host roller skating parties. For more information, please contact Duane Mulbach at (308)390-6052.
The auditorium can also be reserved for private events. Contact City Hall at (308)452-3273 to rent the auditorium.
Buffalo County Recreation Area-Ravenna Lake
Activities include picnicking, walking trails, fishing, canoeing and camping. For more information or to book a campsite, visit the lake's Campspot webpage.
Annevar Park RV Hookups
Annevar Park in Ravenna offers 10 RV hookups with water and electric. An RV dump station is also conveniently located between the park and the Public Works building. Sites are on a first come, first serve basis. For more information, contact City Hall at (308)452-3273.
